PhotoLite
PhotoLite is a lightweight photography toolkit designed for on-location modelling, portrait and still life shooting in Second Life. Like PhotoStage, PhotoLite gives you an extraordinarily fine control over lighting and effects, using a menu-, HUD- or chat-driven control system that lets you focus on your subject.
PhotoLite includes:
- A set of lights that you can move around your subject. You can change light colour, intensity and other parameters.
-
A set of effect generators capable of producing a wide range of visual effects, such as smoke, fog or snow. You can move these effect generators and adjust some parameters to control the appearance of the effects.
-
A set of gaze points, which let your model to fix her gaze on them by alt-clicking so you can adjust her gaze direction and overall stance.
-
The PhotoStand pose stand, including 43 modelling poses.
-
A HUD for easy operation.
Lights, effect generators and gaze points feature intelligent positioning, meaning that they can sense where the model is and position them in relation to her at the click of a button.
PhotoLite lets you dump its current state into a “configuration”, which can be named, saved into a notecard and retrieved at any time to easily re-create your most used combinations of lighting and effects.
You can read the PhotoLite User’s Manual here. You can find out about PhotoLite pricing here.
PhotoStage is available from OnRez and SLExchange, as well as at the Ananke Media Systems demo site in Lady Vale.

Well I have to say that PhotoLite is probably the Best software I have used on SL ‘and I have tried a lot’. The HUD interface is perfect and I am an interface obsessive. The speed at which the system responds shows just what an expert combo of scripting and HUD design exists under the hood of this wonderfull Tool. Very well done indeed. I am impressed
